Learners work their way through varying levels of content introducing core concepts and key principles critical to the topic.

Begin with the Basics
Our Introductory courses are focused on introducing the core concepts, and key principles of the subject. They are aimed at learners who need to be introduced to the topic and gain an understanding of the basics and fundamentals.  

Live Virtual Workshop:

Practical, action-oriented courses.
These workshops involve learners in case-study conversations focused on implementation and real-world scenarios .
On completion, a certificate is provided. 
Intermediate Level:
Advance Your Understanding
Ready to take it up a notch? Our Intermediate courses assume knowledge of the fundamentals and delve deeper, into the subject matter and offer a practical, 'real-world scenario' view of the subject. Theses live- virtual workshops are focused on empowering learners to take action in their business.

Who can benefit from the courses offered by Smart Freight Centre Academy?

Our courses cater to a wide range of freight stakeholders. Almost everyone in the freight sector can benefit from one or more courses offered by the SFC Academy. Simply scroll through our course offering to explore our diverse learning opportunities. 

For beginners: These courses are for individuals new to freight decarbonization or specific subjects in the freight decarbonization space, who need an introduction to the topic, core concepts and fundamentals. 

For intermediates: These courses are for those who are familiar with the basics and ready to move into action and implementation in their organization. 

For advanced: These learning opportunities are offered to front-runners and early adopters in the field. We are planning to develop executive education and advanced learning offerings in Q4 2024/Q1 2025. 

How do I enroll in a course?

To enroll: Browse the course catalog, select your desired course, and select 'Enroll' from the course page. You can either pay directly or opt to 'Enroll Now, Pay Later'. Selecting 'Enroll Now, Pay Later' means one of our team will be in touch to confirm invoicing details, numbers of seats etc.

SFC Members, please select 'Enroll Now, Pay Later' for your member discount to be applied.
Additionally, if you want to purchase multiple seats for a training - please select 'Enroll Now, Pay Later'.

For live trainings, after enrollment, you will receive invitations to the online meeting. 

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in the courses/trainings?

All courses are accessible without prerequisites. However, for the intermediate live training it is advised that you have prior knowledge or experience with the topic. If you are new to the subject matter, we advise that you first take the corresponding introductory course before joining the intermediate training.

We offer two payment options:

Are there any discounts available?

Smart Freight Centre (SFC) members receive discounted rates.
Discounts are available for group bookings for non-members (from 5 attendees).

How can I participate in live trainings if I live in a different time zone?

All live sessions are recorded and made available on the academy platform along with slides and additional materials.
You can access these recordings at your convenience and email us with any questions you may have.

How long will I have access to the courses/trainings?

Access periods are as follows: 

- Self-paced e-learning: 6 months 
- Live virtual workshops: 12 months 

Does SFC Academy offer courses/trainings in other languages?

Currently, most of our courses and training are offered in English.
Our GLEC & ISO 14083 Calculation Workshop is available in Chinese and we offer GLEC training in Spanish
